IMPACT365 manages 25th Annual Golf Classic & Raises $170,000

2007-05-08

More than 230 golfers attended the 25th Annual Marklund Golf Classic on May 8 at Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, raising $170,000 in gross proceeds to benefit Marklund, a not-for-profit network of services providing a full-life experience for infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities.
For the first time, Marklund welcomed sports celebrity Bob Love, former Chicago Bulls forward and scoring legend, as honorary chair and spokesperson of the event. Love mingled with guests throughout the day and during the event’s dinner, spoke about his dedication to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Sponsors and volunteers made the event possible, with Porter Pipe & Supply Company of Addison serving as the event’s title sponsor and HSBC of Wood Dale providing 37 volunteers to staff the event. A committee of local residents worked with Marklund to organize the event, with Glen Ellyn’s George Webster, of RAM Mechanical Services, leading them as committee chairperson.

IMPACT365 models assisted with all aspects of fundraising efforts.
